(Miracle-Working Power)
TO THE BIBLE ACTS 1:8 "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."
The Greek word translated power in our theme scripture is dunamis, and it means "the dynamic ability to cause changes." So Jesus was saying that when you receive the Holy Spirit into your life, He empowers you with this miracle-working ability. When I was in the university, I preached to many of my fellow students on the campus. But one day I decided to hold a large meeting in the school. So I went out inviting people. As I talked to them, I emphasised that they were going to see first-hand the same miracles that Jesus had performed in Bible days. They were so excited, and a lot of them came to see me preach. After I'd ministered for a while on that day, When for a certain crippled woman to be brought forward. they brought her before me, she held on to one d the I called beams of the platform. Then I said "Woman, in the Name of Jesus you are healed." At first, she began to tremble, because her legs couldn't carry her. But I took from her the stick she was holding and threw it away. Gradually, she began taking her steps, until she eventually walked. There was uncontrollable euphoria among the crowd, and many other miracles followed. When you have the Holy Spirit, He enables you to produce proof that Jesus is alive. You're able to effect supernatural changes in your life, family, school, or where you live. The same miracles, signs and wonders that Jesus performed will take place as you speak.
