"Through love serve one another." Galatians 5:13

If your desire is to truly assist someone, pinpoint their strengths and help them cultivate them. A person burdened by low self-esteem will struggle to believe in their own success, regardless of their achievements. Learn to make others feel valued, because God declares they are. (1 John 3:2) Irrespective of their background, every individual created by God possesses potential. Your role is to help them discover and nurture it. Charles Schwab wisely stated, "I have yet to find a man, however exalted his station, who didn't work better and put forth greater effort under the spirit of approval than under the spirit of criticism." To uplift someone, you must become their unwavering advocate.

Focus on their strengths and consistently express your belief in their abilities. Hear Paul's words regarding Timothy: "For I have no one like him, who will be genuinely concerned for your welfare." (Philippians 2:20) Imagine the impact of such words on Timothy. Life often delivers more setbacks than encouragement, and we all crave words of affirmation and support. The encouraging correspondence I receive from our readers acts as a spiritual boost to my soul.

Whose life are you impacting today? Who are you encouraging? Carefully consider this passage again: "Through love serve one another. For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: 'You shall love your neighbour as yourself.'" (Galatians 5:13-14)

Today, petition God to empower you to fulfil this very purpose.

 Affirmation:

"I choose to serve others with love, focusing on their strengths and potential. I will be an encourager, lifting up those around me and reminding them of their inherent worth. I will speak words of affirmation and support, recognising that everyone needs encouragement. I will seek opportunities to serve, remembering that love in action is the fulfilment of God's law. I am a vessel of God's love, and I will use my life to bless others.”
