Hebrews 11:1-2 tells us, "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report." This powerful verse defines faith as the unwavering belief in the unseen, the certainty that our hopes will become reality.
When we exercise our faith, it's crucial to remember that our focus should be on the source of our hope: God Himself. We don't need to dwell on the "how" or the "when" – the steps, the obstacles, or the logistics. Instead, we must fix our gaze on God, the ultimate source of all good things.
Abraham, the father of faith, exemplified this principle. He didn't let his age or Sarah's infertility deter him. He focused on God's promise, not on the seemingly impossible circumstances. He saw the child of promise through the eyes of faith, trusting in God's faithfulness.
What picture are you holding in your mind? What are you believing for? Hold onto that vision with unwavering conviction. Don't allow doubts, fears, or limiting beliefs to steal your focus.
Instead of worrying about "how" it will happen, declare your faith boldly. Trust in God's ability to work all things together for your good. Remember, what you focus on, you magnify.
Just as Abraham remained steadfast in his faith, so should we. Let us not waver in our belief in God's promises. Let us hold onto the vision of the life He desires for us – a life of abundance, joy, and victory.
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of faith. I choose to focus on Your promises and not my circumstances. Help me to see my future through Your eyes. I declare that I am strong in faith and that Your Word is the final authority in my life. I believe that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that I ask or think, according to the power that works in me. In Jesus' name, Amen.
We hope you have been blessed by this devotional. We invite you to make Jesus Christ the Lord of your life by praying this prayer:
“Lord God, I believe with all my heart in Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God. I believe He died for me, and that God raised Him from the dead. I believe He is alive today. I confess with my mouth that Jesus Christ is the Lord of my life from this day forward. Through Him and in His Name, I have eternal life; I am born again. Thank You, Lord, for saving my soul! I am now a child of God. Hallelujah!”
Congratulations! You are now a child of God.
