"That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation so that you may know him better." (Ephesians 1:17)

In his deep prayer for the church at Ephesus, Paul calls our heavenly Father the “Father of Glory.” This isn’t just saying God is a glorious Dad; it’s showing us that God is the source of glory itself. And that means something incredible: you are His Glory!

Think about it this way: if someone is the “father of Sarah,” they have a child named Sarah. If God is the Father of Glory, and you're His child (1 John 3:1), then you are Glory! That’s who you are.

Maybe you're thinking, "Is that really true?" Let's look at Jesus. Hebrews 1:3 says Jesus is the shining brightness of God’s glory and the exact copy of His being. He's God’s splendour shown to us, divine majesty in human form. And here’s something amazing: 1 John 4:17 says, “As he is, so also are we in this world.” This means we also carry and show God’s glory!

Jesus came to earth to bring us into this glorious identity. Hebrews 2:10 says, “For it was fitting that he, for whom and by whom all things exist, in bringing many sons to glory…” God’s plan has always been to make us share in His glory.

Now, let’s look at 2 Corinthians 3:18 (AMPC), which shows us a powerful truth: “And all of us, as with unveiled face, [because we continued to behold in the Word of God as in a mirror the glory of the Lord], are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever-increasing splendour…”

The Word of God is like a mirror, just like James 1:23 says. But here's the best part: when you look in a mirror, you see yourself, right? But 2 Corinthians 3:18 tells us when we look in God’s mirror, we see His glory. That means you are the reflection of His glory!

A good mirror doesn’t change the image it shows. So, if God’s Word—the best mirror—shows you as the glory of God, then that’s who you really are! Every time you see yourself through the Word, you remember: You are the glory of God! Hallelujah! Praise God!

 Affirmation:

"I am the glory of God, a reflection of His splendour. I embrace my identity as His child, knowing that as Jesus is, so am I in this world. I fix my gaze on the Word of God, the perfect mirror, and see His glory reflected in me. I release any doubt or insecurity and declare that I am a vessel of God’s radiance. I walk in the fullness of His glory, sharing His light with the world. I am His glory, and I shine brightly in His love."
